Uma noite, em uma estrada solitária, um carro em alta velocidade joga uma bolsa de dinheiro, destinada a outra pessoa, no banco de trás de Jane e Alan Palmer. Alan quer entregá-lo à polícia, mas Jane o convence a ficar 'por um tempo'. Logo, os Palmers são descobertos por um Danny Fuller, um personagem desprezível que afirma que o dinheiro é dele.
